Privacy Policy

Divorce paperwork means telling us private things. This page explains what we do with that information.
1. What we collect
We collect only what we need to prepare your documents and to run the service:
- Answers you give in the qualification questions and the main questionnaire, which include details about your marriage, finances, and any children
- Your name, email address, and any other contact details you provide
- Payment confirmation from Stripe — we never receive or store your card number
- Technical information such as your browser type and the pages you visit, including the advertising campaign that brought you here
Some of what you tell us is sensitive. We ask for it only where it is needed to complete a court form.
2. How we use it
We use your information to prepare your documents, to deliver them to you, to provide support, to process payment, and to send you messages about your order.
If you consented to marketing emails, we use your email address for those as well. You can withdraw that consent at any time using the unsubscribe link in any such message, or by emailing us.
3. We do not sell your information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
If your answers indicate that your case needs an attorney, we may offer to introduce you to a family law attorney. We will only pass your details on if you ask us to.
4. Who processes it for us
We use a small number of service providers, each of which handles data only on our instructions:
- Supabase — database, authentication, and document storage
- Vercel — website hosting
- Stripe — payment processing
- Resend — transactional email
- Google Analytics and Meta — website and advertising analytics
- Nutrient — completing your court forms
- Anthropic — the portal assistant, and an internal quality check on the documents we prepare
5. How we protect it
Your information is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access to client records is restricted at the database level, so an account can only reach its own case. Generated documents are held in private storage and are served through links that expire.
No system is perfectly secure, but we take these measures seriously and review them as the service grows.
6. How long we keep it
[TBD — retention periods are being set with our attorney. Our intention is to keep your case records for as long as you may need to access your documents, and to delete them on request where we are not required to keep them.]
7. Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email us and we will respond within a reasonable time.
Deleting your information may mean we can no longer provide documents or support for your case.
[TBD — additional rights for California residents will be confirmed with our attorney.]
8. Cookies and analytics
We use cookies to keep the site working and to understand how people use it. We use Google Analytics 4 and the Meta Pixel to measure which advertising campaigns lead to completed orders.
You can block cookies in your browser. Doing so may stop parts of the site from working properly.
9. Children
This service is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18, other than details about children that a parent provides as part of their own divorce paperwork.
10. Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top of this page shows when it last changed.
11. Who is responsible, and how to reach us
